Events of 2025:

  • Our Films in the Forest event is now firmly established in the Festival line-up, with six films being shown on the big screen between Friday 25th and Sunday 27th July. Inevitably, there will be a Robin Hood film or two. But with so many to choose from, which ones will make the cut this year?
  • Then on Saturday 2nd August and Sunday 3rd August, the fabulous Knights of Nottingham Medieval Jousting Display team headline the show, with twice daily performances in the main arena. Since making their Festival debut in 2022, the Knights have wowed audiences with their fantastic equestrian skills and formidable battle scenes.
  • Fantasy in the Greenwood is a weekend (9th and 10th August) to celebrate folklore of all kinds. Witchers and Orcs roamed the forest in 2024. Will they return in search of more recruits for their respective armies?
  • Then comes the Grand Finale weekend, with three days of fun concluding on Bank Holiday Monday! The magnificent Sherwood Outlaws will be back with dazzling cut and thrust performance that once again pits Robin and his gang against the Sheriff of Nottingham and his forces.

In addition to the shows, we will have traders selling unique and unusual products, as well as delicious food and drink options.

It is free to walk on to the reserve and to watch the events. There are no tickets sold for the Robin Hood Festival, so please ignore any comments or messages you may see which do advertise them for sale.

There is special event parking charge for use of our car parks, however. This will be £15 per vehicle per day. That means if you bring a family or friendship group of five, it costs just £3 each per day.
